Artist Statement
The body of work included in the Portfolio reflects the artist’s delight capturing the magnificent and mystical scenery she has encounter in her worldwide travels. Through her lens, she captured the unique beauty of nature. She also enjoys capturing the spirit of the people who she encounters along the way.
About the Artist
Many of Susan's images have won recognition in juried shows. These include Flea Market Finds, honorable mention; Hope Valley, first place; DUMBA, first place; and Chairs, third place and most recently recognized at the Photo Central Spring Show, 2015 for her work Red Lanterns, received Honorable Mention. In 2016 her work, Ancient Mountains, was for inclusion in the EmeryArts Festival (pictured above on left). In 2017, her work Reflections won best in show and Smoking Momma won the People’s Choice award at PhotoCentral’s 30th Anniversary show.
Two of her pieces, Brooklyn Bridge at Night and Trees in Mist are on permanent display at the University of Pennsylvania.
